Wimbledon Day 1 Review and results!

This was one of the most dramatic opening days in the recent Grand Slam history as the player Naomi Osaka, Alexander Zverev and also Stefanos Tsitsipas all tumbled out of the Wimbledon in the space of 2 hours. To make sense of it all in a bid, this Telegraph’s Charlie Eccleshare joined The Tennis Podcast team to discuss which result was the biggest shock ever for them.

The Defending champion Novak Djokovic also got proceedings on the Centre Court underway as Novak Djokovic takes on Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber, before the second seen Naomi Osaka begins her account against the player Yulia Putintseva. Kyle Edmund from Britain wraps up all the proceedings on Centre Court as kyle faces Spain’s Jaume Munar.

As the player, Novak Djokovic now continues the defense of his crown this afternoon, by taking on USA’s Denis Kudla in his 2nd round match.

Number 1 Kyle Edmund from British is also in action today as he faces a stern test against Fernando Verdasco, who is the veteran Spaniard making his 17th appearance in this competition.

As Djokovic sails through as he beats Kudla by 6-3, 6-2, 6-2in his opening round.

Serbian also just showed how good he could be even without reaching his top level here on the Centre Court.
As he is blown away by Kudla in the time, it takes to finish a football match despite all the entertaining play from the American today. As he was made to wait, by having blown by all the three match points, but he finally gets the job done and dusted.
