En-route to his fifty, Rohit might have been caught at deep square leg after Samarawickrama produced an incredible diving effort but could not hold on to the ball.

Striking early in second innings, Ravindra Jadeja struck twice in the same over to leave the Lankans reeling at 31/3. Suranga Lakmal was brought on as nightwatchman after two wickets fell but he lasted only two balls before the left-arm spinner removed him.
The play was called off due to bad light after 16 overs were bowled in the day. The visitors have a mammoth task in front of them in order to force a draw. The hosts, meanwhile, have only 7 wickets to take to wrap up the series with 2-0 win.
