Faf Du Plessis is going to lead the world XI side which will tour Pakistan next month. According to the recent reports, Faf Du Plessis is the skipper of the team. A source close to the development told Geo.tv about this. He said:
“I can confirm you that Faf (du Plessis) will lead the World XI.”
Also, the other ace stars who will feature in this team include Hashim Amla and James Neesham. Apart from these two, England legend, Paul Collingwood will also be a part of the World XI squad. The full 15-member team is still not revealed. However, it will star players from Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies and England.
There were talks with George Bailey as well which went north and thus, it is highly likely for him to be a part of the touring crew as well. Andy Flower, the Zimbabwe icon, is going to coach and manage the team for the tour. We will probably get the full details of the squad by this Friday.
It is going to be a 3-match T20 tour in Lahore featuring all the big T20 guns. The team will visit Pakistan at the beginning of the second week, and the three matches will be played in four days.
If this tour goes successful, we might see a comeback of international cricket in Pakistan.
