After the return of cricket in their backyard, Pakistan defeated Rest of the World XI comprehensively. Furthermore, this win is not just the Team’s win, this is a win for cricket. It is a very good initiative to bring back cricket in Pakistan, full time.
Coming to the match, it was as good match as you will see anywhere else in the world. A great pitch to bat on. World XI won the toss and decided to put Pakistan into bat. Well, that proved a horrible decision for World XI as the home side posted 197 runs on the board.
The innings started off with a typical Fakhar Zaman style as he smashed two boundaries off the first two balls. However, his little cameo ended with only the fourth ball of the match with Morne Morkel getting him. Furthermore, Pakistan innings was full of aggressive batting. Well, you cannot blame them for their over-aggressiveness as they were playing in front of their home crowd after a long time. Babar Azam scored 86 off just 52 balls. Also, Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim’s cameo helped them post 197 runs on the board.
World XI had no reply whatsoever to the bowling of the home team. Most of the batsmen got starts but failed to go back. As a result, they lost by 20 runs. Babar Azam bagged the Man of the Match for his blistering knock.
