Over 77. 3 runs. Bowler: Jack Leach. Australia: 10-263(rr 3.42)

OUT! Caught. Jack Leach to Josh Hazlewood. Stock ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot flick, in the air uncontrolled to short mid wicket, by Root. England have won! Two in two for Leach and two catches in two for Root, in the end a convincing win for the home side a win of 135 runs, Wade the pick of the batters for Australia, Leach and Broad the pick of the bowlers for England, five wickets in the last session of the day gives England the win. A 2-2 draw for The Ashes series of 2019, a great contest between two great bowling attacks, Smith the pick of the players, scoring a ridiculous amount of runs in the 7 innings' he played, lots of good bowling from both teams and I think Australia showed why they have one of the best bowling attacks in the world.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
87.1
W
OUT! Bowled. Mitchell Marsh to Jack Leach. Back of a length, middle stump on the back foot defending, to. Leach plays the ball so late that the ball goes backwards and bonuces onto the stumps giving Mitch Marsh a maiden test match five wicket haul. That ends an up and down innings for England as they would have hoped to get over 300 this morning but also from the position they were in at lunch on day one
In over# 87
Runs : 0 Bowler: Pat Cummins Wickets : 1
86.1
W
OUT! Bowled. Pat Cummins to Jos Buttler. Length ball, off stump on the front foot Slog, bat-pad to. Buttler tries to take Cummins on, a bit unlucky as he gets an inside edge onto his pad and then onto the stumps. However, with Leach looking pretty solid, did he really need to take that risk?
In over# 71
Runs : 0 Bowler: Josh Hazlewood Wickets : 1
70.4
W
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Jofra Archer. Length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Excellent line by Hazlewood, Archer doesn't really get a stride in and gets an edge through to keeper
In over# 66
Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
65.5
W
OUT! L.B.W. Mitchell Marsh to Chris Woakes. Out-swinging yorker, to leg on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Full and straight and Woakes can't get his bat down on it in time. He has a quick look at Buttler who tells him that it's pretty straight so doesn't review
In over# 64
Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
63.6
W
OUT! Caught. Mitchell Marsh to Sam Curran. Out-swinging half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to second slip, by Smith. Curran's cameo comes to an end. He tried to drive the ball through the offside but gets and edge and it flies to Steve Smith at second slip
In over# 60
Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
59.4
W
OUT! L.B.W. Mitchell Marsh to Jonny Bairstow. In-swinging yorker, middle stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Excellent execution of the inswinger by Marsh. The previous ten overs have all been away swing and then he gets this one to go back in and surprises Bairstow. It's given out but Bairstow reviews thinking it could be sliding past leg stump. Hawk eye shows the ball smashing into leg stump
In over# 57
Runs : 0 Bowler: Pat Cummins Wickets : 1
56.1
W
OUT! Bowled. Pat Cummins to Joe Root. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump no foot movement defending, missed to. A good delivery by Cummins that keeps a little low and just holds its line. Joe Root has been undone by another unplayable delivery from the number one ranked test bowler. A gritty and lucky innings by the Englaand skipper comes to an end
In over# 40
Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
39.5
W
OUT! Caught. Mitchell Marsh to Ben Stokes. In-swinging back of a length, middle stump on the back foot pulling, top edge in the air uncontrolled to point, by Lyon. Marsh has been troubling Stokes slightly as he's the only bowler that is getting some considerable swing but it was a ball that Ben Stokes would usually swing away to the fence but this time, he gets a top edge and the ball goes very high. Nathan Lyon has a long time to watch this ball come down and he takes it comfortably
In over# 31
Runs : 0 Bowler: Josh Hazlewood Wickets : 1
30.5
W
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Rory Burns. Back of a length, to leg on the back foot pulling, Spliced in the air uncontrolled to mid wicket, by Marsh. A bit of extra bounce in this delivery surprised Rory Burns, the ball hit high on the bat and looped up to Marsh at mid wicket. The ends an excellent partnership between Burns and Root
In over# 9
Runs : 0 Bowler: Pat Cummins Wickets : 1
8.3
W
OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Joe Denly. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, outside edge to second slip, by Smith. Joe Denly went hard at the ball and gets an edge on it. Steve Smith juggles the ball a few times moving to his left but holds on to it in the end. A good early strike by Australia
In over# 69
Runs : 0 Bowler: Jofra Archer Wickets : 2
68.5
W
OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to Peter Siddle. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, to fourth slip, by Burns. Jofra Archer finishes with 6 wickets as Rory Burns takes an amazing catch diving to his right as Siddle ran the ball off the face of the bat. A fantastic spell of bowling after tea by Archer and Curran ripped through the Australian middle order. Jofra Archer thoroughly deserves the match ball as he has troubled the batsman all day and was by far the pick of the bowlers. England will look to build on this lead and put the game out of sight for the tourists
68.1
W
OUT! Bowled. Jofra Archer to Nathan Lyon. Slower ball yorker, off stump on the front foot driving, missed to. A maiden five wicket haul for Jofra Archer, Lyon was completely undone by the knuckle ball but not before he gets some good lower order runs for his team
In over# 62
Runs : 0 Bowler: Chris Woakes Wickets : 1
61.1
W
OUT! L.B.W. Chris Woakes to Steven Smith. Length ball, off stump on the front foot glancing, hit pad to. Steve Smith finally misses a straight one. Again he tries to work the ball through square leg but unbelievably, he misses it. There's no doubt about that one being out and Smith walks straight off. An inspired bowling change by Joe Root
In over# 54
Runs : 0 Bowler: Sam Curran Wickets : 2
53.5
W
OUT! L.B.W. Sam Curran to Pat Cummins. In-swinging length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to short leg. Steve Smith told him to review it as he thought it was going down leg but how wrong he was! A classic left armer's wicket with the ball swinging back in and would have smashed into middle and leg. Sam Curran on a hat trick
53.4
W
OUT! Caught. Sam Curran to Tim Paine. In-swinging length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Bairstow. Curran gets the ball to go across the Australian skipper and finds the outside edge. Once again its down to Steve Smith to bat with the tail

48.4
W
OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to Mitchell Marsh. Back of a length, middle stump on the back foot pulling, top edge in the air under control to fine leg, by Leach. Marsh tries to swing this one round the corner, he doesn't get all of it. He picked out Jack Leach perfectly at fine leg, another wicket goes for Australia
In over# 37
Runs : 0 Bowler: Sam Curran Wickets : 1
36.4
W
OUT! L.B.W. Sam Curran to Matthew Wade. In-swinging length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, hit pad to silly point. This delivery just shaped back in and Wade was playing round his pad. It looked quite straight initially but Wade reviewed immediately. He hasn't hit it and ball tracking shows the ball to be umpire's call on the leg stump. Important break through by Sam Curran
In over# 30
Runs : 0 Bowler: Jofra Archer Wickets : 1
29.2
W
OUT! L.B.W. Jofra Archer to Marnus Labuschagne. Length ball, off stump on the front foot working, hit pad to. Full and straight and there are no arguments about that one. Labuschagne has a chat with Smith but runs out of time to review. A very good partnership broken by England's strike bowler
In over# 6
Runs : 0 Bowler: Jofra Archer Wickets : 1
5.5
W
OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to Marcus Harris. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to second slip, by Stokes. Archer took the dge a few times in that over, this one carries to second slip and Ben Stokes take a very good catch low to the ground. Once again, the openers fail for Australia
In over# 2
Runs : 0 Bowler: Jofra Archer Wickets : 1
1.5
W
OUT! Caught. Jofra Archer to David Warner. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Bairstow. Warner flashes at a wide one and the slips go up. Originally given not out by the umpire but Root reviews, not a hugely convincing sound on ultra edge and the noise looks out of sync with the picture but enough to overturn the decision and he has to go. Warner chuckles to himself and shakes his head as he walks off
In over# 96
Runs : 0 Bowler: Nathan Lyon Wickets : 1
95.3
W
OUT! Caught. Nathan Lyon to Jack Leach. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to mid wicket, by Hazlewood. Leach is out! He top edges the slog-sweep and England are all out for 329, a good start to the day for Australia taking two wickets inside 20 minutes of day 4. Interesting to see how much of a part Leach plays in the bowling attack for England with the ball gripping early on today, it should be a good run chase with the form Smith and Labuschagne are in, England will want them two in early and get Broad and Archer into them with fresh legs.
In over# 93
Runs : 0 Bowler: Pat Cummins Wickets : 1
92.3
W
OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Jofra Archer. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot glancing, Gloved to wicketkeeper, by Paine. Archer's gone for three, a good early wicket for Australia which brings in Broad, Archer tries to glance one down to fine leg, but it catches his glove, Erasmus doesn't give it, but Paine reviews and his fortunes with reviews change as Archer goes.
In over# 88
Runs : 0 Bowler: Peter Siddle Wickets : 1
87.1
W
OUT! Caught. Peter Siddle to Jos Buttler. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, top edge in the air uncontrolled to square leg, by Labuschagne. Buttler gone! Two in two for Australia and two great catches, this one Labuschagne takes one diving in front, Buttler tries to pull this one but he top-edges it to the man deep on the square-leg boundary.

86.6
W
OUT! Caught. Mitchell Marsh to Chris Woakes. Out-swinging length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge in the air uncontrolled to second slip, by Smith. What a catch! Smith (of course) at second slip takes a screamer, wide outside off Woakes wafts at the ball and takes one far to his right-hand side, Buttler is still there so runs can still be attained here.
In over# 81
Runs : 0 Bowler: Pat Cummins Wickets : 1
80.4
W
OUT! Caught. Pat Cummins to Sam Curran. Length ball, down leg side on the back foot glancing, inside edge in the air uncontrolled to wicketkeeper, by Paine. The new ball has worked its magic, Curran departs for 17 after glancing one to Paine at keeper, a frustrating end to Curran's innings with a needless shot to a ball going down leg.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Mitchell Marsh Wickets : 1
72.3
W
OUT! Caught. Mitchell Marsh to Jonny Bairstow. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge in the air uncontrolled to first slip, by Smith. Bairstow out! After a positive start to his innings it comes to an end feathering one to Smith at slip who takes a good catch low down, the third umpire is called on to confirm the wicket, England need a few more runs ensure Australia struggle with the run chase, England have time, so they will want to bat for as long as they can to get this score to over 400.
In over# 67
Runs : 0 Bowler: Peter Siddle Wickets : 1
66.6
W
OUT! Caught. Peter Siddle to Joe Denly. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge in the air uncontrolled to first slip, by Smith. Denly out! So close to a ton, his first one in test cricket, Paine comes up to the stumps before this ball to keep Denly in his crease, he gets a thin outside edge and it goes straight to Smith who takes the catch.
In over# 64
Runs : 0 Bowler: Nathan Lyon Wickets : 1

W
OUT! Bowled. Nathan Lyon to Ben Stokes. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, missed to. Wicket for Lyon! He bowls Stokes with a beauty that turns away from the left hander, this one drifted in then viciously turned away from him, not much Stokes could've done about that.

OUT!
