India vs Australia

Skipper Steven Smith sustained a minor shoulder injury during practice in Ranchi, on Thursday.

After having brushed aside the Australians in the one-day series, the Indian team is all ready to extend their dominance in the shortest form, when they take on the visitors in the first of the three-match T20I series India vs Australia.

The right-hander Steven taken to a local private hospital for check-up, where he also underwent an MRI scan. The Australian management got relief. Doctor declared Smith fit to take part in his first match.

India vs Australia 1st T20 will be played in MS Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi on Saturday 7 PM IST.

The Match (India vs Australia) will broadcast on Star Sports network and live cricket score can be stream on HotStar from 6 PM IST on both SD and HD channels.

The Australians spent the afternoon at JSCA international Stadium with the emphasis squarely on tackling the threat of the Indian spinners, ahead of the first T20 international on Saturday.

It seemed they are keeping faith in using the long handle as the batsmen went hammer and tongs at the local spinners.

The city experienced a heavy shower late afternoon, putting paid to the practice session scheduled for Team India. Lasting for nearly an hour, the rain left large parts of the outfield wet. With more showers predicted in the next 48 hours, Aussies would hope the weather does not dampen their spirits in India vs Australia ODI.
