With three to four days left away for the 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), Padmashri award winner and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir lashed out at team India captain Virat Kohli for experimenting too much on no-4 order.

Gautam appeared on Star sports analysis show and commented on present Indian team status.

“If you want a settled batting order in the World Cup, then the No. 4 has to be decided beforehand, and he should be backed completely,” Gambhir said on the show.

Also, Gambhir blames Kohli for his poor captaincy in IPL where the latter never won any title before. Gambhir said ‘I don’t see him (Kohli) as a shoot captain or a tactful captain. And he hasn’t won the IPL. So ultimately a good captain is only as good as his record till the time you don’t win the IPL’.

Gambhir believes he(Kohli) is not a sharp captain and can’t be compared with the likes of M.S. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma where they won three IPL titles respectively.

These comments made by former cricketer not gone well by fans, and brought heat from them. He felt the wrath of netizens from social media. They have posted several tweets and criticized severely for his comments.
