Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ben Stokes bowled final over with CSK needing 18 runs to win the match. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja smashed a long six of the very first ball to make chase easier for CSK.

But eventually, CSK lost his captain on the third ball leaving Chennai team into disappointment. With eight runs required from three balls, Stokes attempted a slower ball which was waist high full toss. Then the straight umpire signaled a no-ball and soon the leg umpire intervened to withdrew the decision.

Dhoni, who was standing on the boundary ropes threw his hands up in the air and started walking up to the umpire to argue the decision.
However, Jadeja who was at non-striker’s end first confronted with the leg-umpire decision.

Despite, Dhoni’s protest, the decision made by field umpire stood, and Dhone made a way back to pavilion. However, Csk won the match, with Mitchell Santner hitting the winning runs for CSK in the last ball.

MS Dhoni has fined 50 percent of his match fees for his intervention onto the field to protest against umpire’s decision.
